PET/CT Comes to UMI

UMI starts PET/CT on November 08 with GE's latest state-of-the art 16-slice Discovery 690 Elite PET/CT scanner. The system is GE's newest Time-of-Flight scanner alowing faster scanning, lower doses of radiation, and superior image quality. The GE 690 is one of the most advanced PET/CT scanners in the SW United States. Heading the PET/CT program at UMI is University of Arizona Assitant Professor of Radiology, Phillip H. Kuo, MD, PhD. Dr Kuo is the Section Chief of Nuclear Medicine and Medical Director of PET/CT for University Medical Center and Univeristy Medical Imaging.
